Happy New Year!
I’ve set myself some fresh goals for 2025.
Books + Media
- Read 40 books for Classics Club
- Complete home library cataloging project
This second goal is a carryover from last year — and the end is in sight!
Arts + Crafts
- Complete 4 cross-stitch projects
- Complete 8 watercolor paintings
Both of these goals are carryovers from last year.
Food + Health
- Try 72 new recipes
- Complete Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Virtual Challenge
I reserve the right to add or amend these goals over time, as usual.
I also have a few private goals for both personal and professional activities that don’t typically make it to this blog, like genealogy projects. Plus, I have in mind a few stretch goals for Arts + Crafts, but I’m also trying not to get too carried away!
Life can change so much over the course of just one year, so it’s best to leave some room for unexpected things.
I love your food and health goals! It makes me want to set a goal for new recipes to try. I would not start out with that many though.
Thank you!
And definitely not, haha, starting out with a great big number of new recipes to try would probably be super overwhelming. Part of the joy I find in cooking is about meal planning, and I’ve had lots of practice by now, so it’s easy for me to plan 1–2 new recipes per week… but I would in no way recommend trying to do that unless it’s already kind of a habit/hobby LOL
Good luck with your goals this year! 🍀 I imagine it will be quite satisfying to complete the library cataloguing. Are you making a physical or digital catalogue?
Thanks, I appreciate it 🙂
The catalog is just a spreadsheet TBH. I used to use LibraryThing, but never really kept up with it and by now I’ve learned to be more cautious about relying on 3rd parties to keep important stuff long term.
